We nearly bulldozed the Sistine Chapel - but didn't, so yay! My top ten of 2022
It's Christmas week so time to take a break from the serious stuff. Here are my top ten moments of 2022, which happen to be exclusively jumps oriented. Decide for yourself whether that is by accident or design

The Cheltenham Festival not being extended to five days. Imagine having to celebrate that jump racing's Sistine Chapel wasn't bulldozed in the name of a few extra bob? That's how close to the brink we came.

Au revoir to the old guard. Robbie Power punched his card at Punchestown and Davy Russell checked out at Thurles on Sunday. Both were Gold Cup and Grand National-winning jockeys who became synonymous with the big day and, at 40 and 43 years of age respectively, they were able to get out safely after incurring serious injuries along the way.
