We have an all-time great here - so why are we obsessing over the challenger?

The final proof of greatness lies in being able to endure criticism without resentment.

That quote from American philosopher Elbert Hubbard instantly sprang to mind when Henry de Bromhead was asked earlier this week whether the Honeysuckle critics crawl up his skin.

"I've given up [worrying about them]," said the trainer. "Years ago I used to get mortally offended when people would criticise Sizing Europe, but I've got enough things to get wound up about now. What will be will be."
