Transparency over racing's income is crucial to addressing the sport's problems

Lingfield on Monday and Wolverhampton on Tuesday were the latest meetings for which punters were unable to take advantage of the popular Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) promotion with bookmaker Paddy Power.

The change in policy was introduced with little warning by the Flutter Entertainment brand, much to the confusion of many customers and also, anecdotally, some members of their customer service team.

Punters were told the offer would now only apply to selected meetings in Britain and Ireland, but there has been a distinct pattern to the meetings that have not made the cut.
