David Casey, Trevor Whelan and Tim Smith of Ladbrokes complete our panel
What chance would you give Kew Gardens in the Arc if connections went that way?
Oli Bell, ITV Racing presenter Not a particularly good one. He’s a very likeable horse but taking on Enable and Sea Of Class? I can’t see him troubling them much and the market has it right with him I think as a 16-1 chance.
David Casey, assistant trainer to Willie Mullins A big one. I was very impressed with how he did it in the St Leger on Saturday and I’d be surprised if there wasn’t more to come from him. He’s a classy colt and, while Enable looked good on her comeback run, I’d give Kew Gardens a big chance if he lines up.
Jim Goldie, trainer I thought the first two home in the Leger were very good. Kew Gardens would be interesting if he went for the Arc, and you’d expect Aidan O’Brien to put a pacemaker in to set the race up for a stayer because stamina is his forte. I’d expect Enable to be very difficult to beat again – the way she dispatched of a very good horse in Crystal Ocean on her comeback was extremely impressive.
