Top trainers David Simcock and Tim Easterby reflect on events at Newmarket
Is Too Darn Hot your idea of the 2,000 Guineas winner?
Harry Bentley, jockey At the moment Too Darn Hot would be my idea of the most likely winner. He looks the real deal on what he’s done. Something could always come out of the woodwork to challenge him next year, but he sets the standard.
Tim Easterby, trainer It would be hard to find a horse who's run up to now who looks like beating him. I was very impressed with him and he looks the real deal. He has speed, stamina and looks a lovely, relaxed machine of a horse.
Charles Hitchings, Sporting Index head of racing He looks the real deal and won the best two-year-old race of the season with ease. If he doesn’t go backwards from two to three then he’s a rock-solid favourite at this point. Coolmore do not appear to have any potentially smart milers so perhaps only a fit-and-ready Quorto will stand in his way.
