Time to credit remarkable charity for supporting racing fraternity through Covid

Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Coronavirus restrictions have begun to be eased in Britain, spectators are back on racecourses and the racing industry is starting to regroup after the pandemic.

It is easy to get swept up in newfound freedoms but let's not forget in the last 12 months the sport has arguably had to run its toughest race. For many, the challenges they have faced have been, if not caused, at least exacerbated by Covid-19, and many of them are ongoing.

However, positives can be taken from the way racing has emerged from the crisis and in many ways the industry is well equipped to face the obstacles ahead.
