It is the way of things that at major meetings the bulk of the Racing Post's coverage inevitably focuses on the headline races, which means some of the lesser gems do not get the column inches we would dearly like to give them.
At Cheltenham over the weekend the headlines were rightly grabbed by Splash Of Ginge and the customary crop of posh novices staking early festival claims.
But the greatest hero of the meeting was a grizzled ten-year-old with a heart bigger than Blenheim Palace and an unquenchable spirit.
