There is no good reason for owners not to want to declare a wind operation

Further to the Racing Post’s coverage, I am in agreement with the decision of the BHA to show which horses are having their first runs after a wind operation.

I have a couple of shares in ownership syndicates and have been a punter on a very small scale for many years and I cannot see why anyone would have a problem with this information.

The Racehorse Owners Association has taken the huff as it seems it does not wish the information to be public, stating it “did not feel it is in the best interests of the industry” and that it would be the owners who “would be compromised the most”.
