As the new decade dawns, here's my A to Z of the one just gone. It was certainly never dull.

Aidan O'Brien Ten trainers' titles, plus two in Britain, to go with another five Derbys, 21 British Classics, 20 Irish Classics, eight Breeders' Cups and an unparalleled Arc 1-2-3.

More than that, though, his family's legacy looks sure to endure. Sons Joseph and Donnacha, now both training, secured two jockeys' championships each, with Joseph’s training career already yielding a Melbourne Cup.
