'We were endangering lives' - why new rules for jockeys are long overdue

This column brings you a bit more Jamie Spencer and also some very good news.

When you meet Spencer for an interview, you listen to what he tells you, write it all down and then find you don't have enough room to include everything he said. In the case of my most recent encounter with one of the sport's most fascinating participants, that was a particular shame because some of the omitted material made so much sense. Pleased to report, it did not only make sense to the interviewee and his interviewer.
