We are less than a month away from the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, which has gone on a road trip this year and has come to rest at Chantilly.

Interestingly a number of Arc regulars are giving the race a swerve this year, and general opinion among those who know Chantilly well is that the big day might be by Bunfight out of Organised Chaos.

Those who decide not to brave Chantilly may wish instead to venture to one of Huntingdon, Kelso, Uttoxeter or Tipperary. Part of the Arc ritual for visitors is a good dinner in the evening, although Paris no longer holds a candle to London as a place for eating out unless you have won the tierce.
