Speculating about how and when racing, or even life, might return to some form of normality is the most natural thing in the world right now, probably second only to breathing.

It’s unavoidable and completely normal, but it feels like we’re marooned in hypothetical ‘what if’ or ‘if and when’ territory. A land of interminable conjecture.

We’re not yet three weeks into lockdown and the sense of being stuck on a hamster wheel when it comes to the musings, most of which are considered, well-intentioned and seemingly rational, is already beginning to set in.
