Here's what racing can do to get the next generation through the gates

As a #youngperson, I'm often asked by friends and my more senior colleagues what racing can do to attract the next generation of fans.

Research carried out by Great British Racing suggested the sport has plenty of work to do to boost attendances and connecting with those aged 18-35 will be vital to achieving this.

There is no silver bullet but I do have some practical suggestions, the first of which is to be far more mindful of how racing is portrayed and promoted on social media, which for most young people is their chosen source for daily news.
