So many festival options for Benie but which road will she take?
We learned during the week that connections of Irish Champion Hurdle heroine Honeysuckle are leaning towards running the unbeaten mare in the Grade 1 Mares’ Hurdle rather than going for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham.
That might all change and we will have to wait and see what unfolds as crunch time approaches. What the connections of Benie Des Dieux decide to do will be equally fascinating.
Benie Des Dieux is entered for the Mares’ Hurdle, for which she is
odds-on favourite and she is quoted at 2-1 second favourite, behind Paisley Park, for the Stayers’ Hurdle. She is not entered for the Champion Hurdle but that is a situation that might change if soft ground for the opening day of the festival is likely.
