Do the ratings experts seriously take into consideration the going and the time of the season when making and delivering their calculations?

I am a Cracksman fan. I have followed his career closely and backed him every time he has run.

Eventually I had to accept Cracksman was just a pretty good horse under certain, specific circumstances. He wasn't fast enough to win just an average Derby, the Irish Derby or the Prince of Wales’s Stakes and his trainer did not run him in the King George or the Arcs of 2017 and 2018.
