Queen's death leaves a massive hole for racing - but all of us can help fill it

There have been two racing themes which have kept coming back to me over the last fortnight or so which, on the face of it, do not have much in common.

The first is the the fallout from the underwhelming attendance at both days of Irish Champions Weekend.

That has been partly masked – in Britain at least – by the second: the real sense of loss to the sport of its greatest supporter, the Queen.
