Perhaps it's my forgiving nature but A Plus Tard looks too big for the Gold Cup
Having so little jump racing to focus on and a total inability to call a World Cup match correctly, I've been scanning the ante-post markets more intently and a price keeps catching my eye.
It must be said, I'm a forgiving person in nature – even someone who hopes Gareth Southgate stays on to finish off the fine job he has done with England – so perhaps it's that side of me thinking A Plus Tard's Cheltenham Gold Cup odds are on the generous side.
There's 10-1 out there in a place (bet365) and even the 8-1 elsewhere looks a couple of points too big. I thought exactly the same straight after the Betfair Chase when he was pushed out to 12-1 and a legitimate excuse has since emerged, albeit a good few weeks after the race.
