Percy Pig beating racing in battle to be heard as Brexit problems start to mount

When it comes to Brexit, the effects of the end of the transition period on the horseracing industry have yet to make much of an impact on the public's consciousness.

Issues are starting to emerge as a result of the red tape caused by Britain's departure from the European Union, but it is reports of empty shelves in supermarkets and fish rotting on docks that have been grabbing attention rather than any problems facing the sport. Fears of a shortage of Percy Pigs have spawned more headlines.

However, just as it will with the rest of the economy, Brexit is set to have an impact not only on Britain's racing sector but also on the rest of Europe's.
