The Long Distance Cup may not have been the best race run on Champions Day at Ascot but it sure as hell generated the most chatter after Frankie Dettori blamed young rider Dylan Browne McMonagle for Stradivarius only managing to finish third to Trueshan.

"The kid in front did everything he could to get me beat. It was a disgrace," the legendary rider blasted afterwards.

Of course, it wasn't the first time Dettori pointed the finger of blame at his fellow riders after getting beaten in a high-profile race.
