No room for complacency as MP continues campaign for £100 gambling loss limit

Last Thursday government minister Chris Philp tweeted to say he was pleased that the gambling review white paper would be published "very imminently".

These things are all relative, but the definition of imminent used in Westminster might be different to that used elsewhere.

Parliament went into recess at the end of last month and does not return until April 19, but even then, with council elections fast approaching, it is not expected that the government's proposals for reform of the gambling sector will be announced until next month.
