No chief and unity in short supply at Horsemen's Group

Nearly four years have passed since it was announced Alan Morcombe was to step down from his position as chief executive of the Horsemen's Group but time has evidently not healed the wounds of that bruising time just yet.

Recent tweets by Morcombe have illustrated his continuing displeasure with the organisation, with one posting calling a description in one newspaper of the HG as racing's participants' trade union as "laughable". "No unity in that organisation," he added.

Maintaining unity on absolutely every subject in an organisation containing representatives of owners, trainers, breeders, jockeys and stable staff must be nigh on impossible.
