My top ten performances over jumps this century - with Altior and Min nowhere
So, just like that, they're gone. Altior first, followed by Min. Just as it was in the 2016 Supreme and again in the Champion Chase two years later. They had 17 Grade 1 wins between them and Ruby Walsh described their tenure as a "wonderful era" for jump racing.
You can't really argue with that, but you could argue neither have produced a performance good enough to make it into the top ten displays this century.
Altior was serene in the Supreme and his first Champion Chase win was utterly emphatic, while Min's masterclass in the Melling Chase in 2018 was extremely easy on the eye.
