Having been an owner with Alan King since he started training, I have known Wayne Hutchinson for about 20 years.

A truly professional and at times underrated jockey, Wayne has been a pleasure to be associated with. He has always been open and willing to express his views on our runners and constructive in his feedback. Quiet and unassuming, he’s always got on with his job to the best of his ability – and he has plenty of that.

He played such an important role for many years as ‘Choc’ Thornton’s understudy in terms of schooling, work-riding and helping to educate the horses and always gave 100 per cent at the races.
