Buveur D'Air was not in the supermarket but inside Nicky Henderson's horsebox, parked up away from the weekend shoppers as the travelling staff nipped inside for breakfast after their trek from Lambourn.
As with the McDonald's by Ayr racecourse, the cafe is a fine place to spot the heroes of the game – the workforce putting in the unseen miles up and down Britain – on a big day north of the border.
