Over the space of a long weekend next spring three separate events are scheduled that could well shape British racing and the betting industry for years to come.

First comes Brexit on March 29, although given the way things have been progressing on that front who knows what will happen.

Then there is the planned dismantling of the Levy Board, to be replaced in part by the new Racing Authority from April 1, although doubts surround that process following objections in parliament which were due to be discussed again this week.
