Jockeys, I urge you: for the good of racing, please accept this verdict

I have no idea what the weighing room culture is like. It certainly hasn't been painted in a good light over these last few weeks, but I have no idea what goes on behind that canvas. Maybe it is the "sour and rancid" place that BHA brief Louis Weston suggested in his closing comments against Robbie Dunne, but I have no idea whether it is or it isn't.

I have no idea what Dunne is like either. In fact, I have never even spoken to him before. It is the same story with Bryony Frost; I don't know her.

One thing I do know is that racing has taken an absolute battering in 2021 and it will take an extraordinarily good 2022 to come close to balancing the books.
