'I've been sad all week' - Michael Holding's emotional goodbye to HQ
This week marks the end of an era in Newmarket as the town's annual summer visitor, cricket legend Michael Holding, has hung up his binoculars and bid farewell to headquarters for possibly the last time.
The former West Indian fast bowler, who took 249 Test wickets, has also recently retired as a pundit for Sky Sports Cricket and now plans to enjoy a relaxed retirement with his family in the idyllic Cayman Islands.
The 67-year-old has been a familiar sight flanking Sir Michael Stoute on Newmarket Heath for the past 26 summers and has been a most popular figure about town during that time.
