It's the rematch we wanted and it will be fascinating - but Shishkin still wins
From the moment Shishkin and Energumene served up that awesome race at Ascot in the Clarence House Chase, all racing fans wanted was to see the rematch at Cheltenham. Now we've got it.
The Queen Mother Champion Chase promises to be an absolute belter. When you see Put The Kettle On and Politologue, the two most recent winners, priced at such massive odds this time, it demonstrates the quality of the race.
Tactically, it is going to be fascinating. Paul Townend has stuck with Energumene, and I'd have been disappointed if he hadn't. Chacun Pour Soi is a wonderful horse, but he didn't come up the hill last year. He is a weak finisher and I can't see it happening for him at ten years of age.
