William Knight recently came full circle when returning to Newmarket and he has certainly hit the ground running since his move with half a dozen winners already on the board, including a first at Royal Ascot.

The former assistant to Ed Dunlop broke his duck at the royal fixture when 12-1 chance Sir Busker came late under Oisin Murphy to land the first running of the Silver Hunt Cup.

Knight, 43, spent five years with Dunlop before branching out on his own at Angmering Park in West Sussex in 2006, but he is happy to be back in town, where he is based at Rathmoy Stables on the Hamilton Road, formerly home to David Lanigan.
