To be a Carberry or a Walsh is to enjoy a special status in jump racing. That is a blessing, but it brings with it plenty of pressure too.

It is among Katie Walsh and Nina Carberry's many achievements that the pair – who announced their retirement at Punchestown last week – did those proud family names full justice by taking women's race-riding to an unprecedented level far beyond anybody's expectations.
