How 2023 could shape the way British racing looks for years to come

It was with some trepidation that I looked back at my first column of 2022 the other day in which I had tried to predict the main themes facing British racing over the following 12 months.

Thankfully, I might just have shaded the proverbial stopped clock by getting a few things right.

Discussions about the sport's governance did indeed come to the fore, while the prediction that the BHA's whip review "has the potential to be a divisive and long-running talking point" seems to have been pretty much on the money, although you probably did not need to be Nostradamus to see that coming.
