Hoping Total Recall will give us another Grand National to remember

Aintree will be our main focus next week and Total Recall will head our team of probably three runners in the Randox Health Grand National on Saturday when we will be attempting to win the race for the second time, 13 years on from Hedgehunter's triumph.

When he fell at the third-last fence in the Gold Cup last month Total Recall was creeping his way towards the leaders and, while it's impossible to know what might have happened had he stood up, I thought he was going well enough to have finished in the first four.

He's been fine since coming back from Cheltenham and the fall doesn't seem to have taken anything out of him. The National has been his main target since his win in the Ladbrokes Trophy at Newbury in December and we're looking forward to Saturday.
