These are not normal times. We must consider first the wider implications for racing during the global crisis wrought by the Covid-19 virus.

There is a temptation to venture into the area of ethics. Let's avoid that; if racing journalists begin to fancy themselves as arbiters of moral principle then the world has truly gone mad.
