Do you think Frodon could capture a Grade 1, say the Ascot Chase or Ryanair?
Harry Bannister, jockey He’s an improving six-year-old and not many horses win handicaps off 164, but he’s from a stable that can eek more and more out from their horses, even at the top level. He doesn’t need to find a huge amount to become a major player in a Grade 1, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he picked one up in the next 18 months.
Jason Maguire, racing manager Frodon won on Saturday off a mark of 164 and will now be rated somewhere around 170, which gives him a massive chance at Ascot and Cheltenham. He seems to go on any ground and is still improving as he is only six under his enthusiastic, good, young jockey Bryony Frost.
Patrick Mullins, jockey It is possible. He is a young, improving horse. It was an extraordinary performance to win a handicap off his mark of 164, so it will be very interesting to see how he gets on in a Grade 1.
