Prognosis good for full Douvan recovery

Douvan was the big disappointment for us at Cheltenham. There had to be a reason for him performing so far below form and we weren't long in discovering the problem. He came home safe and sound and is going to need between eight and 12 weeks to recuperate from the small stress fracture he suffered in the pelvic area. The prognosis is good for a full recovery and there is a lot to look forward to with him next season.

Our plans for the Randox Health Grand National centre on Pleasant Company and Alelchi Inois and the intention is to send both of them to Aintree. Both of them are guaranteed a run.

We've had the race in mind for Pleasant Company for some time and we think he'll appreciate better ground than he has raced on this season. It was much more testing than he likes when he won the Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse on his most recent start when Ruby [Walsh] gave him an exceptional hold-up ride.
