Gordon Elliott never forgot his roots and may have anticipated Gigginstown exit

Two days after Don Cossack won the 2016 Gold Cup Gordon Elliott had nine runners at Downpatrick. The highest rated of them had a mark of 129, the lowest was running off just 91. They were for eight different owners and the 105-rated Urtheoneiwant was running in the colours of the Gordon Elliott Racing Club.

Forgive the detail, it's just that the Sunday in question is why Gordon Elliott is likely to outstay the O'Leary brothers in Irish racing by quite a few decades.
