Get set for another tight finish with Flat jockeys' championship back in vogue

The toe-to-toe title battle between Harry Skelton and Brian Hughes that ended with Skelton lifting his first jump jockeys' crown last month brought back memories of that epic tussle Jamie Spencer and Seb Sanders served up on the Flat in 2007.

That dust-up remains unrivalled for pure drama, going down to the 'traditional' last day of the season at Doncaster in November.

After a winner apiece on the final day, Sanders held the lead by one going into the very last race of the Flat season, but Spencer still had a final throw of the dice on veteran stayer Inchnadamph. By that stage both men looked utterly exhausted but somehow Spencer kept his nerve and cruised to victory, drawing level on 190 winners with Sanders to share the title for only the third time in history.
