Future of historic yard uncertain as owners put it back on market for £795,000

The site of a historic yard in Newmarket which has been empty for over a decade is in flux once again after its owners put it back on the market for £795,000.

Holland House Stables, situated next door to Michael Bell's yard in the western part of the town, was demolished shortly after being purchased by Kahari Investments in 2010 and the site has lain empty since.

The stables are close to the controversial Queensbury Lodge property, whose owner Bill Gredley recently announced he was handing over the site to the government after his latest plan involving housing on the land was turned down by West Suffolk Council.
