France and the Breeders' Cup: a beautiful romance that is ready for a revival
Go Athletico and Sealiway finished first and second in the Group 3 Prix la Rochette at Longchamp back at the beginning of September and this Friday they will provide trainers Philippe Decouz and Frederic Rossi with their first runners at the Breeders' Cup when they renew their rivalry in the Juvenile Turf.
Assuming Dermot Weld aims Tarnawa at the Turf, the Alex Pantall-trained Half Light will get the first alternate spot in the Filly & Mare Turf to round out what can charitably be described as a select French team.
Talismanic took the Turf back in 2017, three years after Karakontie had lifted the Mile at the expense of Anodin, both upholding the tradition that Chantilly's finest really shine when the Breeders' Cup is hosted in California.
