Footpad bids to build on impressive chase debut in Grade 1 clash with Death Duty

Footpad is in fine form for Leopardstown's Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase (2.20), in which will be bid to give us a third consecutive win in the race following Douvan in 2015 and Min a year ago.

A dual Grade 1 winner as a hurdler who performed well in other top-level hurdle races, he was impressive on his first start over fences at Navan last month when he won by 11 lengths and jumped brilliantly throughout.

He's been in good form since and will again be racing on a left-handed galloping track like Navan. That will suit him.
