Tuesday was a big day for the most famous man to come out of Mytholmroyd since the late Poet Laureate Ted Hughes.

Football rather than the finer arts is the thing for Martin Greenwood, who woke up to news that his beloved Burnley had signed Dutch international striker Wout Weghorst to boost their relegation fight.

The day got even better after noon as he discovered that jump racing's most entertaining stage act may be getting together again.
