Downing Street merry-go-round another complication as gambling review drags on

Elena Narozanski may not have been a well-known name outside political circles but her recent resignation is being seen as significant by senior figures in British racing and the betting industry.

Narozanski was one of the special advisers to prime minister Boris Johnson who quit last week, with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport one of her areas of expertise.

Following her resignation, Betting and Gaming Council chief executive Michael Dugher described Narozanski as "one of the most impressive people I have ever dealt with" and that her departure was a "real blow" for the government.
