Nell Gwyn winner Qabala is now 1,000 Guineas favourite – who do you like?
Jockey Georgia Dobie The race has an open look to it this year so will probably be a maximum field, but I wouldn’t swap Qabala as she can only improve from that first run and the harder they go early the better she’ll travel into the race. They way she came out the Dip at Newmarket was very impressive.
Jockey David Egan I’d like to think Qabala will go into the 1,000 Guineas with a real chance. She’s a Group winner now and I thought things went very well when I rode her in the Nell Gwyn. Even with her inexperience she did it well and I think she’ll improve a lot from that run. I don’t know who will ride her next time but I hope she can run well.
Coral odds-compiler James Knight Qabala is the obvious one from the trials as she’s unbeaten and progressive. Of those from last season’s two-year-old Group 1s, maybe Skitter Scatter – she won with authority at the Curragh and Lady Kaya boosted her form the other day.
