Credit due to Gavin Sheehan after bouncing back from Greatrex disappointment
At the close of play on Sunday, Gavin Sheehan's last 11 rides had finished 112121P1142, a hot run that puts him on course for his most prolific season.
A maiden century is the aim and a fruitful summer has helped with that goal; the bit is firmly back between the adopted son of Lambourn's teeth.
Confident and capable, Sheehan was champion conditional in the 2013-14 campaign having graduated from the Charlie Mann academy that also produced Noel Fehily and Dave Crosse – all three deeply appreciative of the days spent picking weeds from the trainer's lawn!
