Few races have typified the very essence of Jim Bolger like Saturday's Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas one-two, a result that reinforced the rare loyalty he has continuously shown to his jockeys.

Despite Godolphin investing in a number of his high-profile performers through the years, Bolger's most trusted allies in the saddle have time and time again maintained their existing riding arrangements.

New Approach, who raced for Princess Haya from the beginning of his three-year-old career, was never publicly ridden by anyone other than Kevin Manning despite switching from the Bolger colours, and riding plans remained the same when Dawn Approach was bought by Godolphin too.
