On the subject of when the Arc should take place following news the race might be switched to an earlier date, surely it is the wrong issue.
Running the Arc a week earlier would simply disrupt the Pattern system, with no guarantee the weather would play ball. It could just as well rain torrents in the last week of September.
The real problem is the appalling Longchamp ground, especially after a downpour.
