As we draw a leg back to begin the motion of hoofing Covid-19-plagued 2020 far into the distant memory, over the next couple of weeks compilations of the year’s star performers will abound.
Most of them are, by definition, well documented, albeit Al Boum Photo has somewhat inadvertently become a lesser-spotted equine titan.
Epatante, Magical, Love and Princess Zoe are other horses who made an indelible impact, while riders like Rachael Blackmore, Hollie Doyle, Paul Townend, Colin Keane, Barry Geraghty, Ben Curtis, Brian Hughes and Oisin Murphy all excelled in their own way, notwithstanding Murphy’s regrettable recent fall from grace.
