Brunelle triumph highlights the need to close gaping loophole in sales ring

In recent years there has hardly been a more resoundingly popular initiative than the series of auction races that were launched on the Flat and over jumps in Ireland.

They are backed by the EBF and Connolly’s Red Mills, whose Foran franchise sponsors the Flat series and who put a tremendous amount of effort and resource into promoting a concept that has been unanimously welcomed within the industry.

Auction races are nothing new, but the sponsor’s backing has seen these two versions evolve into comprehensive and unified programmes that serve stakeholders well.
