Bracing Leopardstown action highlights how Britain is missing a Christmas trick

It has been quite a week on the racing front. We had our first seasonal sighting of leading Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup hope Kemboy, who ran well enough to satisfy his many supporters.

Likewise, there was an appearance from Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase contender Chacun Pour Soi, who was a beaten odds-on favourite although far from disgraced.

Unibet Champion Hurdle favourite Klassical Dream blotted his copybook and was promptly deposed at the head of the market. We also saw a full-blooded confrontation between two novice chasers, Fakir D'Oudairies and Notebook, who now share favouritism for the Racing Post Arkle.
