Big changes afoot in delayed Irish fixture list - but how useful will they be?

We’re into the final quarter of 2022 and there is still no sign of the 2023 Irish fixture list.

It’s an unprecedented and inexplicable delay that is particularly unhelpful to an array of sectors. Clearly, the fact owners and trainers don’t even know the exact shape of the second half of the current jumps season is desperately unsatisfactory, but by now your average punter would expect to be able to plan and book their 2023 adventures.

Apart from a provisional summary of the all-weather winter series, Horse Racing Ireland has little to guide potential customers right now.
